DANYEL MCFADDEN'S PORTFOLIO

Venom Whiskey
For this I wanted to create a whiskey brand that is rough and gritty. When designing the brand I wanted to be simple but effective, with the entire brand being a play on the concept of whiskey having a bite. I wanted each of the bottles to be a different level in “bite”, specifically alcohol content with spider being the lowest and cobra being the highest.

Double O
The Double O logo is a play off of the chemical structure of oxygen, with it more so being a flavored canned air. The main concept I had for double o was to work with the space travel videos and how brands would look if we had started something as far reaching into the future as space travel clashing with the classic designs of the sixties. I had a lot of fun with this one and love an opportunity to adventure into past design trends.
Since it is a brand of canned flavored air I knew I should make the packaging be really airy and light in its design. I decided on bubbles given the subject and kept the font with something wild and abstract which seemed like a really common occurrence with the sixties.

Tarot Cards
For most of my work I like to have a goal of what it’s supposed to feel like in the final result and I work backwards. I had come up with a backstory concept that they were found in the back corner of grandma’s old dirty attic. The old pictures being of grandma in her carnival days, and I ran with the idea. I had a lot of fun with this concept because I really wanted to focus on the pieces being aged and damaged like old sepia photos. I gave each photo its own piece of damage that matched the title, for example the sun being slightly singed or burned.

Infographics
For each of these I really wanted to try and do something for something with a lot of information and not a lot of information, and still all be equally interesting. I also wanted them all to be eye-catching.
